  2. Turn in any assignment that is due in the folder provided.
  3. Prepare class materials, placing everything else neatly under your chair.
  4. Write down the homework assignment that is indicated on the board in your agenda book.
  5. Begin pre-class activity.

During Class

  1. The pre-class activity can be one of three activities: journal entry, assignment, or pop quiz.  There is to be complete silence during the activity, and the activity should be completed five minutes after the bell rings or whenever the teacher indicates.
  2. Be sure to greet any adult with the proper salutation, e.g. "Good morning, Mr. Smith," after that person enters the room.  The teacher shall issue the salutation followed by the rest of the class in unison.
  3. The prompt for silence in the classroom will be the Snowden Five.  If you see the prompt, then raise your hand in silence until everyone is silent.
  4. If you would like to pose or answer a question, then please raise your hand with your palm open until I acknowledge your request.  If you would like to leave the classroom, then please raise your hand with a closed fist until I acknowledge your request.  After I give you the hall pass, you may exit the classroom.

After Class (after the bell rings)

  1. Return all class materials.
  2. Clean up the area around you.
  3. Complete all homework.
